This top-line Autry western has his placid ranch disturbed by the arrival of a gang of bank robbers. He inadvertently gets involved in their activities, but in the finale chases them and their $100,000 purse through the dusty West. A fine combination of genres and Autry's commanding
performance make this one special. Includes the tunes "Goin' Back To Texas," "Merry-Go-Round-Up," "You're the Moment of a Lifetime," all sung by Autry, with instrumentals by the Cass County Boys. This was to be the last of Gene's Republic pictures after a long and tiring battle with the studio.
