Appropriately named, quickly forgotten rocker Meat Loaf stars as a roadie for a rock band. He hooks up with Kaki Hunter, a supergroupie who is saving herself for Alice Cooper (playing himself). Director Alan Rudolph attempts to paint a portrait of the backstage world of rock 'n' roll but is considerably less successful here than in his other inventive efforts (WELCOME TO L.A.; CHOOSE ME; TROUBLE IN MIND; THE MODERNS). Along with Meat Loaf, the film also boasts appearances by Blondie, Roy Orbison, Hank Williams, Jr., Don Cornelius (TV's "Soul Train"), and folkies Ramblin' Jack Elliot and Hamilton Camp. leave a comment
