Shelton is a distraught bank clerk who decides to solve his financial woes by ripping off a bank to the tune of $200,000. He gets caught, but not until after he has stashed the cash. He figures he will do his time, then get out and enjoy the money, but another gang has different ideas.
They engineer a prison break, but Shelton is caught trying to get out. The picture ends with Shelton finishing his jail term and learning that his wife located and returned the money to the bank. A charming story that is not especially well handled.
