Rogers (Thomas Beck), a young Indianapolis 500 racer, is trying to follow in the footsteps of his father and save the old man's reputation in the bargain, since he was killed in a previous racing accident by racketeers who made his death appear to be the result of drunk driving. Truck
driver and racing nut Blake (Henry Arthur) lends a hand, doing some fancy driving of his own to foil the hoods after they try to knock off Rogers fils
as well. Mixed incongruously among old footage of Indy smashups is an appearance by Bill "Bojangles" Robinson, who does a tap dance routine in his
role as a junk yard proprietor.
