Flimsy story has Jean as the assistant at her uncle's (Qualen) pawn shop, where she is sheltered from the nasty world while her uncle is involved in a racket of his own. When a composer is murdered and his valuable violin is found in the shop, things get a bit too tense for Qualen, and
Jean realizes who her uncle really is. Jean and Qualen are bland in the leads, and the rest of the cast are totally unbelievable. Blame it all on the script, which offers nothing.
