The search for a shipment of stolen rifles leads to the home of Boone, a sadistic Indian hater who is arrested by officer Whitman because he won't disclose where he obtained his rifle. After a brief stay in the Union prison with Mexican bandit Franciosa, Boone agrees to help Whitman
uncover the stolen rifles. As it turns out, they were stolen by a Confederate officer, O'Brien, who wants to rekindle the Civil War by selling the guns to Apaches, who will then lay siege to the Union soldiers. Four men--Whitman, Boone, Franciosa, and Brown (in his first screen appearance)--go
