Late entry in the "Angry Young Man" school of British filmmaking depicts happily married electrician Bell finding himself in the midst of an affair with an aspiring 15-year-old actress (Hussey). After a pregnancy scare, Hussey and Bell part amicably as the latter decides to go back to his wife. A well-told, very well acted tale that lacks the punch of earlier films in the genre like THIS SPORTING LIFE. leave a comment
