Riders In The Sky

Autry's pal Darrell has been framed for murder and thrown in jail. The town is run by the evil Livingston, a gambler with a choke hold on all the citizens. Leave it to Autry to ride in and save the day, as well as win the heart of Henry, Darrell's daughter. This film got its title from a song by Jones, which Autry sang over the title credits and was used in the scene in which London is killed trailside. A ghostly rendition of the song, along with thundering hoofbeats, is used with good effect, unusual for westerns.
