The Civil War has ended, and the western frontier is faced with a horde of new ranchers. This threatens outlaw Quinn's control of the territory, so he decides to retaliate. Newly planted rancher, Keel, and his bride, Gardner, are attacked, their ranch burned to the ground. Rather than being frightened off, this gives Keel renewed strength and the will to rebuild his ranch.
