This is the first "Red Ryder" film, based on the famous comic strip. Eagle Lion introduced this series as a replacement for their retired set of films featuring Eddie Dean. Here Bannon is the title character who stops a stagecoach robbery early on, then joins Stewart, a newspaper publisher.
