Another intelligent oater from director Budd Boetticher that makes good use of all the old B Western formulas. Boetticher's eternal hero Randolph Scott is a bounty hunter who goes looking for murderer James Best. He's really after Best's brother, Lee Van Cleef, a vicious killer who murdered Scott's wife.
