In order to infiltrate a group of Confederates plotting to exchange cattle for help from Mexico, Union spy Edwards poses as a dance hall girl. Agar is the stranger who falls for the pretty agent and finds himself involved in her mission as he rescues Edwards from Confederate agents Shannon
and Gray. In the end the two lovebirds cause a cattle stampede that defeats the Rebel plan. Even THE WIZARD OF OZ had a more realistic story line and characters. RIDE A VIOLENT MILE seems to have more holes than Swiss cheese. The basic premise is unbelievable, so the plot suffers all the way
through. The acting is passable, but not much more.
