Smallville's Aaron Ashmore
Chloe, according to lore, may never land the Man of Steel, but she just might woo his best friend. Aaron Ashmore (née the ex of Mars' Veronica, Troy Vandegraff) is joining CW's Smallville this season (premiering Sept. 28) as a semiregular, playing aspiring photojournalist Jimmy Olsen.

I was initially skeptical about this special, which seemed like an obvious ploy to squeeze one more Wednesday night out of this summer social experiment. Beauty and the GeekMy DVR let me down. I checked it twice before leaving the house to make sure the season pass was working, but lo and behold, it didn't record.
