A pretty good idea is turned into a cornball story, full of zombies about as menacing as a baby in a carriage. The French have developed a secret regiment of zombie fighters through arcane methods guarded by a mysterious Cambodian priest. When WW I ends, the government orders that all remaining zombies be destroyed. George Cleveland is in charge of the mission, but Dean Jagger creates a problem when he discovers the secret to raising the dead. When Cleveland's daughter spurns Jagger, he decides to use his new powers to get even--which he does most unconvincingly before winding up the prey of zombies himself.
