Revenge

Adapted from macho writer Jim Harrison's novella, this stylish exercise in sweaty retribution begins with retiring Navy pilot Cochran (Kevin Costner) going to Mexico to visit his old friend, Tiburon (Anthony Quinn). Tiburon — Tibey to his friends — is rich, powerful, corrupt and enamored of his an enchanting young wife, Miryea (Madeleine Stowe), whose beauty causes the visiting American's unwilling head to turn. Disinclined to tempt fate, Cochran ignores Miryea, which only makes her more interested; she pursues him relentlesslt even though Tibey's thugs are everywhere, his estate is a nest of prying eyes and he has a lethal temper.
