This follow-up to CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON doesn't have quite the wallop of the original. In this one the half-man, half-beast is captured in his Amazon surroundings and brought for study to Florida's Marine Land Aquarium. Nelson and Agar are the scientists in charge and they try to teach the creature how to talk, but to no avail. Concentration is placed on the beast's sexual interest in Nelson, as he watches the girl swim and fondle with boy friend Agar. When the creature begins to get restless in his captivity, he easily escapes and makes for the ocean, causing a lot of fright on the way. Clint Eastwood, in his first screen role, appears briefly as a lab technician who has problems holding onto a little white mouse. leave a comment
