The Return Of Dr. Fu Manchu

The sequel to THE MYSTERIOUS FU MANCHU (1929) begins with an elaborate funeral ceremony for the evil Chinese criminal (played once again by Oland) who had committed suicide in the first movie. Of course, the insidious doctor didn't die at all, but injected himself with a potion of his own design that would only make him appear dead. During the funeral, Oland slips out of his coffin through a trap door and ventures to England in pursuit of his archenemies, Hamilton and Heggie. An elaborate game of cat-and-mouse soon develops between the Britishers and Oland with the villainous genius leaving cleverly murdered corpses in his wake. Eventually Oland is cornered by his ...
