This was Lugosi's last film for Monogram and he trotted out his usual mad scientist routine for a horror film with more laughs than screams. Lugosi and colleague Carradine find a prehistoric man frozen in ice (actually wrapped in cellophane) and they bring him back to the laboratory to
thaw him out. The ape man (played by former boxer Moran) recovers from the deep freeze nicely, though he proves to be more than a little on the stupid side. Lugosi wants to help the creature out by giving him a new brain and, when Carradine objects, he kills the scientist and snatches his brain
for Moran. Lugosi then attempts to civilize his creation, and does succeed in teaching him...
