One of the most disturbing pictures ever made. It's often been compared to Psycho, but rather than presenting a portrait of a psychotic killer from outside, Roman Polanski's film pulls the audience into the crazed individual's mind. Catherine Deneuve plays a Belgian manicurist living with her sister in London who becomes increasingly unhinged, apparently due to her feelings about sex.
