Rent Control

This witty comedy features Spiner as an aspiring writer whose wife has run off with a cosmetician. While living with relatives, he sets out on a near-impossible quest for a rent-controlled apartment in Manhattan--convinced that $300-a-month, two-bedroom living quarters will help him put his life and his marriage back together. His search is fraught with complications, though, as he becomes embroiled in the efforts of a newspaper to expose a senator's involvement in murder.
