The Removalists

This adaptation of a popular Australian play focuses on a police officer, Cummins, who claims he's never had to use his gun in 23 years on the force. When he gets a new recruit, Hargreaves, the two men don't have a heck of a lot to do except watch TV and do crossword puzzles. One day a woman, accompanied by her sister, comes to the station to complain that her husband is beating her. She wants to leave her husband, Harris, but he won't allow her to take her furniture. Cummins goes to the apartment and ties up Harris while the furniture is removed. The two police officers beat Harris until they fear he may be dead.
