Remember The Day

Heartwarming story that gets to the root of American idealism casts Colbert as an aging school teacher about to meet with Presidential candidate Shepperd, who was her pupil 25 years earlier. Her mind quickly drifts back to the time when the young boy, who had a crush on her, becomes jealous upon discovering she is secretly married to another teacher. Colbert gives the boy special attention, encouraging him to pursue his hobbies and other interests. Colbert's husband joins up with the Canadian forces at the onset of WW I, and is killed in battle.
