Remember Last Night?

Effervescent, quirky comedy/whodunnit about a murder that takes place during a night of heavy drinking by a bunch of wealthy socialites, including Constance Cummings and Robert Young. It actually develops into a string of murders, all dealt with in sublimely light-hearted fashion. Edward Arnold plays a jovial detective who enlists the aid of a hypnotist (Gustav von Seyffertitz) to try and jog the memories of the hungover revellers; naturally enough, the hypnotist is himself dispatched just on the point of disclosure.
