The Remains Of The Day: Review

Yet another superbly acted, dignified period drama from the producing-directing-writing team of Ismail Merchant, James Ivory and Ruth Prawer Jhabvala. Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson both received Academy Award nominations for their quietly powerful portrayals of two painfully repressed English domestics on the eve of World War II.
