Bickford plays a young man who runs away to join the circus. The owner, who had taken Bickford under his wing, dies and leaves the circus to him. Bickford then becomes the object of desire for animal trainer Nissen and gypsy Torres. A misunderstanding with Nissen, whom Bickford really
loves, forces him to marry Torres, who is only after his money. When Torres eventually leaves to be with her own people, Bickford and Nissen are reunited. Bickford fails to bring the needed romanticism to his part.
