Red Scorpion

Drought-ridden Africa is the setting for this actioner, in which Lt. Nikolai (Dolph Lundgren), a Soviet special forces "killing machine," is sent to an Angola-like nation with orders to assassinate a rebel leader who's causing problems for Cuban forces occupying the country. Botching the job, he pays for his failure when the Cubans torture him by sticking long needles into his body, then escapes into the desert, is stung by a scorpion there, and is nursed back to health by a bushman (Regopstaan) who tattoos the image of a scorpion on Nikolai's chest.
