Clarke and Foster are the married owners of a small speakeasy whose main desire is to go straight and open a gas station. But Foster's yen for the track leaves the couple broke, allowing operator Cortez, who has his eye on Clarke, to set up the couple as a front for his crooked
organization. But through enough dilligent work, Foster manages to save the needed money to take his wife to their hoped-for gas station. Director Gardner obtained the proper type of underworld atmosphere, but failed to provoke much of the same on the part of his actors.
