Hayworth plays a Mexican lass trying to reside peacefully in the territory of California, only to have a group of land-grabbing outlaws kill her father and make her own existence trying. She makes a plea to Washington for help, and receives the President's own aide, Keene, who arrives in
California to set everything straight, winning the hand of Hayworth and enough popularity to be elected the first governor of the State. This film is from the period when Rita Hayworth was still performing under her given name, still something of an unknown, acting mostly in action-oriented
programmers.
