Unprovoked mayhem and plot surprises abound in this crime thriller fueled by Mario Van Peebles' hyperkinetic performance. Years ago, Hispanic cop Blair Valdez (Mario Van Peebles) covered for rookie Ethan Lang (Zach Galligan) when Lang froze under fire. While Valdez distinguished himself in the line of duty, Lang retreated to an academic post as professor of criminology.
