Tragic story of an artist who loses his inspiration in an Italy filled with works of the great masters. However, the vision of a woman diving into a lake in the moonlight gives him new inspiration. He rents a cottage by the lake and eventually meets the girl, who he learns is an American resting after a mental shock.
