Amnesia, that standard movie plot device, was never used better than in this excellent adaptation of James Hilton's popular 1940 novel. England, 1918: Ronald Colman, a soldier from a wealthy family has lost his memory in battle. He wanders out of the hospital and soon meets Greer Garson, a dancer in a local club who quickly realizes Colman is an amnesiac and takes him to a country village to help him put his life back together.
