Screenwriters Blake Edwards and Richard Quine (who also directed) didn't provide much to get excited about in this oft-told tale of a young gal trying to break into show biz. Austin plays the gal who, despite the protestations of her society-bred aunt Moore, sneaks off and gets a job as a messenger at one of the Hollywood studios, with the hope of being discovered.
