Despite the title, this is no cheap rip-off: This sequel to Brian DePalma's high-school horror classic returns to the original's bleak atmosphere and gets right to the dark heart of teenage sexual politics. Emily Bergl has more than the usual share of teeange trauma: Her best friend (Mena Suvari) has killed herself, her mom thinks she's possessed by Satan and she has to contend with a roving band of jocks with a use 'em-and-lose 'em attitude toward women. Unfortunately for them, she also has telekinetic powers.
