Leurini plays the son of King Solomon (Cervi). The budding prince is sent to spy on the queen (Ruffo) and find out her plan for war on Israel. Leurini takes a little respite from work when he falls in love with Ruffo. The arranged marriage between Leurini and Berti spurs Ruffo to seek
revenge by declaring war. This cheaply dubbed affair is bargain basement De Mille. The dialog is stiff and overloaded with words, while the acting features an excess of overly theatrical gestures. Plenty of togas, spears, zinging arrows, and an utterly predictable plot. This film can't even
qualify as good camp.
