This independent feature attempts to chronicle the social upheavals of the 1960s. Nelson is a young man who confronts the draft, unfeeling parents, and, of course, the Establishment. Along with his pal, McQuary, he experiences drugs, riots, and trouble from the cops. Unfortunately, the
plot involves cliched stereotypes from this turbulent era and offers little insight into the raw feelings of the time. The best thing about this film is its score. The music of the 1960s (including the superb title tune by Jimi Hendrix) is used to propel this story, a wise choice by director David
