Skelton plays a simple-minded cafeteria worker engaged to Blair. He gets caught up with some swindlers who take his savings in a phony stock scheme. They hire him as their courier, and he finds himself in jail. But Skelton escapes with the usual hijinks and gets a $10,000 reward for handing over the bad guys. This was an expansion of a fairly good skit from Skelton's popular TV show. Unfortunately, length does nothing for the story but drain any comic potential, resulting in a dumb and unfunny film. Skelton tries his best but never can muster up the needed energy. The other cast members flounder in their roles, ultimately losing the battle against the inherent stupidity of the screenplay. leave a comment
