Promises In The Dark

Mason plays a doctor trying to help a young woman, Beller, cope with her inevitable death from cancer. In counterpoint to the emotional tribulations of Beller's family and friends is the courtship of Mason by radiologist Brandon. Realistic depiction of the hospital atmosphere, good performances, and a well-produced effort are hindered by the gloomy subject matter.
