A cooked-up plot line has Coe, while under sedation in an army hospital, forced to marry Landis, the Assistant Secretary of the Army, so that she can adopt an orphaned girl who would otherwise be shipped back to Holland. But this plot is just an excuse to capitalize on some comic
situations and the young untried talents of the cast. And the idea pretty much works, with the cast giving the production a lot of spirit without falling into the trap of taking themselves too seriously. Walsh, not noted for his lighter side, directed this farce. This was actress Eden's first
appearance in a feature film.
