Noel Coward at his frothy, sophisticated best. Norma Shearer and Robert Montgomery are delightful as Amanda and Elyot a pair of madcap ex-spouses who're now married to a pair of conservative drips: He to Una Merkel, she to Denny. By a coincidence, both couples are honeymooning at the French hotel where Amanda and Elyot had spent their first two weeks of marriage years before. Since their suites are next to each other, it isn't long before our fireball lovers meet on their balconies, and soon sneak off to a mountain chalet for a second honeymoon together.
