History is bent in favor of the Germans in this Nazi-produced film, directed by Carl Froehlich, head of the Reich's film company. Blame is placed on the evil French for all the events which took place during the reign of King Louis XIV. Muller is conned into a political marriage with a
Frenchman at the suggestion of the king, but that changes nothing and the French troops continue pounding the Germans. The truth is stretched in favor of propaganda and national pride, but the result is fairly entertaining. (In German.)
