Plot is almost completely sacrificed for music as the Andrews Sisters and Harry James join up to put on a show for the boys in uniform. Also involved is Dick Foran, as a young man who chafes under Army rules and regulations, until he falls for the daughter of a retired officer. The most memorable thing about it all is the Andrews' rendition of "Don't Sit under the Apple Tree with Anyone Else but Me" (Lew Brown, Sammy Stept, Charles Tobias). Other numbers include "Three Little Sisters" (Irving Taylor, Vic Mizzy, sung by the Andrews Sisters), "Private Buckaroo" (Charles Newman, Allie Wrubel), "Johnny Get Your Gun Again" (Don Raye, Gene De Paul), "We've Got a Job to Do" (Vickie Knight), "You Made Me Love You" (Joseph McCarthy, James V. Monaco, sung by Helen Forrest), "Six Jerks in a Jeep" (Sid Robin), "That's the Moon My Son" (Art Kassel, Sammy Gallop), "I Love the South," "Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Seen," and "Ma, I Miss Your Apple Pie." leave a comment
