Woods is a freighter's first officer and gets in a fight with the captain over wages. He ends up killing the captain and is sent to Devil's Island. Eilers, the woman he met on a French port and fell in love with, is on the island with her doctor husband, who is selling the prisoners'
medical supplies to the mainland black market. When Woods braves a storm to get supplies for sick prisoners, they don't even pardon him. Woods then escapes from the island and hooks up with Eilers. Smacks strongly of STRANGE CARGO. Remade in 1986 as ROCK AND ROLL HIGH SCHOOL.
