Luchaire is a reform school student in love with the school's doctor, Barnes. She competes for his affection with superintendent Best, who gives the students the freedom to do as they please. A remake of the French picture PRISON SANS BARREAUX, directed by Leonide Moguy in 1933. The 1939 retelling was filmed in three languages, with the English version taking pains to tone down the reference to lesbianism. leave a comment
