It's more computer whiz kids threatening the balance of things, namely the well-being of the Federal Reserve system. Julie Collins (Toni Hudson) is a recent college graduate who is having no success in finding employment in the computer department of a bank. The bank does, however, steal some of the ideas she related during an interview. To get even, Julie develops a way to tap into automatic teller machines with a fake pass card and drain them of all their money. She engages Michael Fox (Lee Montgomery) in her scheme. They pillage cash stations until their scam brings them to the attention of some secret agents who are making similarly illegal withdrawals, with plans to destroy the American financial system via computer. Some interesting potential is shown here by neophyte director-writer Michael Farkas, but the subject area has already been covered, and much better, in WARGAMES (1983). leave a comment
