Pride Of The Bowery

Dead End Kid Gorcey gets himself into a couple of mix-ups when he gets tricked into joining the conservation corps. The government group does its best to reform the two-fisted hooligan, but discovers that much of the wrongdoing in the camp cannot be blamed on Gorcey when it is proved that Stone is the troublemaker. If this picture was a promotion for President Roosevelt's Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), and it seems as if it was, it did not do much good. It was below par for the series, and the CCC was discontinued a year later.
