Frankie (Stanley Clements), a young jockey with a new style of riding that brings him acclaim, is barred from the track when he starts betting on himself. Since he's been donating his winnings to an old flame and her father to help them raise a colt, the forced retirement is quite a blow.
By the finale, however, his winnings add up to more than just the big race. The racing scenes employ stock footage and process photography.
