Price Of Glory

Every boxing movie cliche imaginable gets its turn in the ring in this drama about a failed pugilist determined to mold his sons into champions. Mexican-American Arturo Ortega's (Jimmy Smits) dreams of a big-time boxing career are dashed in 1977, when his unscrupulous manager puts him up against a far more experienced fighter who creams him. Thirteen years later, he's a factory worker who sees boxing as a way for his sons to escape poverty and discrimination.
