Prestige

Harding ventures into an Indochina penal colony in search of her fiance, Douglas, a young French lieutenant in command of the post. Both brave the rigors of jungle heat and disease, with Douglas combatting alcoholism at the same time. He takes a bullet while quelling a savage uprising, but in the end is still standing, filled with the hope of upholding the prestige of his background. A fine cast is wasted on a mediocre script.
