Three high-school students come into possession of a stolen Aztec idol and use it to try to contact the dead. When they become frightened by the evil power they have unleashed, they enlist the help of a reporter (Susan Stokey) for a sleazy tabloid. Her boy friend (Warren Lincoln) then
steals the figurine and is possessed by the demon and transformed into an ugly monster, leading to the usual levitation and dismemberment. It finally occurs to someone to smash the statuette. This low-budget, low-intelligence horror story, brought to you by the boys who made the forgettable THE
DORM THAT DRIPPED BLOOD (1982), offers nothing fans of the genre haven't already seen.
