Arlen and Castle play brothers--the latter an engineer, the former a test pilot--who are both in love with the same girl, Parker. Parker's father is a blind designer who comes up with a plastic-designed plane for the army, which, after surmounting several handicaps, is successfully flown
by Arlen. Well-paced action and smooth direction keeps a proper level of suspense up until the film's climactic ending. One of several films (most notably William Wellman's WINGS) in which Arlen--who served as a pilot in the Royal Canadian Flying Corps--found himself at the controls of an
airplane.
